A poem I wrote about my favorite movie: Vertigo

Carlotta Valdes

Her foreign ancient name lures me down the path
Down the streets of this city
The bridge at the bay, her body sinking fast
Faster than the hope she gives me
We dance around this grave
I follow up the stairs
This vertigo has made my knees weak
Somewhere here I was born and I died there
She is still here haunting my dreams
A plot I've sensed but still unclear
A desperate act not what it seems
You held me among the waves
You brought me to my knees
Before you jumped you kissed me
You were a very apt pupil, a very apt pupil
But why me? Why me?
I heard voices

About Me

I write not to make sense but to lose it.
